For others, it\u2019s great benefits or a fun corporate culture.<\/p>\n<p>To learn what rates in our industry, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/asp\/open\/news\/counselor\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Counselor magazine<\/a><\/em> conducts an annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/asp\/open\/Research\/BestPlacesToWork\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Best Places to Work<\/a> survey. And starting today, you can check out the countdown of the top 85 companies employees deemed \u201cbest.\u201d<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/timandrewsblog-asicentral.com\/timblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/best11.jpg\" class=\"right\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Every day we\u2019ll reveal another set of companies on the list, leading up to the big No. 1 \u201creveal\u201d on Monday. To check out the countdown, visit the home page of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ASI\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How\u2019d we do it? A total of more than 4,000 employees answered an in-depth survey conducted by outside research firm Quantum Workplace. <em>Counselor <\/em>Editor Andy Cohen said three themes run through the 85 companies that made the list: teamwork, recognition and fun.<\/p>\n<p>Inside<em> Counselor<\/em>, which should hit your mailbox soon, you\u2019ll discover story after story of winning corporate cultures that benefit employees, customers <em>and<\/em> the bottom line. As Andy says, \u201cThe employees and management are so engaged \u2013 not just with their jobs, but with the whole organization \u2013 that they\u2019re willing to do anything for customers. Roles are defined, but those roles are meant to be broken \u2013 always for the betterment of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While researching for the Best Places to Work issue, three <em>Counselor<\/em> editors drove cross-country in a rented SUV visiting a number of top companies and no doubt keeping an eye out for America\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roadsideamerica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">craziest roadside attractions<\/a>.
