{"id":1811,"date":"2012-07-18T12:35:48","date_gmt":"2012-07-18T16:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/timandrewsblog-asicentral.com\/timblog\/?p=1811"},"modified":"2012-07-18T16:27:04","modified_gmt":"2012-07-18T20:27:04","slug":"new-international-alliance-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timandrewsblog-asicentral.com\/timblog\/2012\/07\/18\/new-international-alliance-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"New International Alliance Launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ASI, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sourcingcity.co.uk\/sitecontent\/index\/our_brands\" target=\"_blank\">Sourcing City<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psi-network.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">PSI<\/a> just announced the joint formation of PromoAlliance, a new international alliance to identify and introduce best practices and market development concepts benefiting the U.S., U.K. and European markets.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.promoalliance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/timandrewsblog-asicentral.com\/timblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/promoa.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We made the announcement on the first exhibit day of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asishow.com\/12Chicago\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">ASI Chicago<\/a>. Joining me were ASI\u2019s new international partners \u2013 Alistair Mylchreest, CEO of Sourcing City, which serves the U.K. promotional merchandise industry, and Michael Freter, director of PSI, the international network of the promotional product industry. You may know\u00a0PSI from attending its trade show in D\u00fcsseldorf each January, which routinely attracts upwards of 20,000.<\/p>\n<p>Through this international alliance we\u2019re ushering in a new era of international cooperation in order to further benefit the industry and our members. The overriding goals are to introduce best practices, develop fresh market concepts, explain new marketplaces and foster education.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to understand that all PromoAlliance founding members are committed to the efficient and effective distribution model of suppliers providing products and services to distributors and distributors serving as the sales channel to buyers of promotional products.<\/p>\n<p>As Alistair put it, \u201cHaving three major players working in alliance, sharing ideas and exploring new concepts will create exciting opportunities for all of our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We believe that by leveraging the strength of all three organizations we can provide greater insights into new markets.
