The experience provided a solid foundation in journalism that\u2019s impacted my entire career.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/asp\/open\/AboutASI\/pressRoom\/index.aspx?id=5028\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/timandrewsblog-asicentral.com\/timblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/wearables1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, I\u2019m CEO of an organization that publishes six magazines. And, I can honestly say I\u2019ve never been more proud of an editorial team than I am right now.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asbpe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Society of Business Publication Editors<\/a> just honored ASI magazines with 14 Azbee Awards of Excellence in editorial and design. <em>Wearables <\/em>magazine, edited by C.J. Mittica, was chosen a Top 10 Business Magazine of the Year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, ASI publications are the only b-to-b magazines for the ad specialty industry so honored this year. Other winning magazines in the 2010 competition include <em>Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em>, <em>CFO<\/em>, <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>, <em>Macworld<\/em> and <em>The American Lawyer<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>To read our press release, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asicentral.com\/asp\/open\/AboutASI\/pressRoom\/index.aspx?id=5028\" target=\"_blank\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Day in and day out, our team of editors, reporters, designers, researchers and photographers \u2013 spearheaded by publisher Rich Fairfield and editor-in-chief Melinda Ligos \u2013 do a spectacular job. \u00a0As the largest media and marketing organization serving the industry, we have tons of readers relying on us to consistently deliver news and information that will help their businesses thrive and grow.<\/p>\n<p>ASBPE judges choose winners based on a careful review of everything from quality of writing, reporting and editing to layout, design and value to readers.
